Hi, I’m Tristan. I’ve been blogging since mid-2003, have written and published dozens of Kindle books, and have created several other types of digital products. I make my living from my blogs and ebooks.
Osmosio was founded back in October 2010. Sort of. Back then it was called Blogging Bookshelf. The premise of that blog at first was to review books for bloggers and pull out the most valuable tips and tidbits. That got old pretty fast, though, and it soon morphed into a more general discussion of blogging.
Toward the end of 2011, I felt that the name of the blog was holding me back, so I changed to something more general: The Backlight. The focus of the blog shifted again to cover more topics relating to the world of digital publishing.
It was during this time that I got more heavily into creating digital products, but I also felt that I was spreading myself too thin. Creating a different website, blog, social media profiles, etc. for every single product—not to mention marketing every product individually—was difficult. I decided it would be best to put all of my products under one roof. This would be easier for me and cheaper for the people who wanted to pick up more of my products. Thus Osmosio was born.
The Osmosio blog and the Digital Publishing Podcast contain all sorts of great information regarding various forms of digital publishing, and the content of Osmosio itself goes into much more depth about specific topics.
Let me know if you have any questions about me, Osmosio, or digital publishing in general, and I’d be happy to answer them.
